Here's a video I spliced together of short video clips driving around in my 64 Coupe DeVille the last few days with the cool sounding but LOUD dual Flowmaster setup.
I just received the new stock single exhaust system from Classic Exhaust out of Ohio and will be returning it to a nice quite stock sound in a couple of weeks but will miss the Roar of the Dual Flowmasters! With yesterday's drive the rebuilt engine now has just over 300 miles on it and is running great!

Farhad, I did use Flowmasters but do not remember which one, and have since reverted back to to the stock setup. I checked and do not see receipts when I had them first installed. It was a good throaty sound, but too loud for what I am after with my "going back to original look and sound" CDV.
I hear ya Kevin. It would be cool if we could switch the sound like they do on the XLR's so we can have the throaty sound when our "heart rod hearts call" but then go silent when cruising.
My ride also had the dual flowmasters and while it didn't sound bad at idle it sure got noisy on the highway. What really got me was at a recent car show and I got dinged for not having stock exhaust. I got lucky... the previous owner had just replaced the entire exhaust so I only had to replace the mufflers. I installed Walker's and what a difference...now she sounds as it should!!
My little miss "Lucky" loves her Coupe Deville Rides! I will have her and my wife Cheryl at the Clayton, NC Harvest Fest and Car Show this coming Saturday.

No..this is the dual setup with dual flowmasters that will be replaced with the complete stainless setup I ordered from Classic Exhaust. The new exaust is all laid out in my foyer right now! I'll probably look to install it in a couple of weeks. I've got a local car show in Clayton, NC this coming Saturday then I'll be looking to remove the dual setup and install the new sytem.
The dual setup under it now is pretty cool if you want to really hear the power of these engines and would probably be great for a rat-rod or custom application. I might due some horse-trading with the local exhaust shop to install the new system or perhaps put a side to sell or put on a future project car. I guess it probably has less than 1000 miles on the setup I have and those flowmasters aren't that cheap either.

Hey! I’ve seen the 63/64 power booster and master cylinder combination has been covered very clearly. I’m in the process of replacing mine. I was hoping someone could give me insight on a specific…Continue

I meant to make this a priority over the winter and didn't get that far. I've tried to source all the parts individually, but that is a daunting task. Partly because I don't want to miss any…Continue

Hello, possibly looking a neutral safety switch for a 1964 Deville with the TH-400 and tilt steering. Also, possibly looking for an oil filter housing assembly for a 1964 429 motor. Starting to get…Continue

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
