Website Header - Experimenting with Rotating Member Cars

I was thinking or rotating member 63's and 64's up in the header and used Mark Geertsma's 1963 Sedan de Ville as a test car. It gets a little grainy making the picture that small, but not too bad. For those of you on the cell phone select desktop view from the drop down menu and check it out. For those you use on desktops & laptops just look up.

I will maybe swap in a member 64 on the right, and maybe try and update once a week?

Looking at the header I am trying to remember why that black border at very top is there ... and more importantly if I can use that space to extend the header. Working with the Ning layout designs is clunky at best but may be able to improve on it a bit.

Oh... I guess I should put some text across bottom of picture of owner and body style.

Jason,

The header looks really good!  A very nice touch added to the website.

Nice!

I have added Christian Doerk's 1964 Fleetwood 60 Special as the '64 in the header and will plan to run each for a week. I will try to tweak the header a bit to make look better going forward. I will really need to use side or wider angle shots to make this work and it helps to have a sky or something uncluttered above or below to add the text.

I will also look at the very top section to see if I can extend the header up to the very top. For some reason I think I tried that one time and had issues for one reason or another. Jason.

My plan is to run the same header Sunday to Sunday. Since we started this mid week, I will run these two Caddys until Sunday April 6. If you have any side profile car pics you want to use reply below. Else I will just pick from the member cars section in header, newsletters, etc.  Note, it helps to have some uncluttered area above or below the car.

Excellent addition to the website!

Quick update on spotlighting a member's 63 & 64 Cadillac in the header: It is sort of a paint to construct the header image as there are many parts to it and the size had to be near perfect (330 x 220 pixels to work with) and think I will change this out once a month instead of once a week. That way we get to show off the car more but still rotate each month. I will do a car other than one that is being featured in an upcoming newsletter so we see some fresh pictures.

Tonight I put our round logo in the center and going up into the very top. It looks like I can use some of that space so may be able to get some slightly larger car pictures up there for May.  Stay tuned for more.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
