Repairing Turn Signals on a 1963 with the Tilt Wheel Option
Jason Edge graciously furnished me with the repair manual supplement for the 1963 Cadillac repair manual. Having reviewed the illustrations and read the instructions, I still cannot figure out how to take apart the turn signal cancellation mechanism. I prefer to avoid removing the steering column to make this repair and seek advice from those of yuo who have attempted this endeavor before me. I shall take photos over the weekend and will mark them up before posting.
If any of you are familiar with this, please rrespond so that I can better understand what I am facing to make this repair. I was hoping that my problem was the bell crank arm (a replacement of which I purchased from Russ Austin). However, my minimal view makes me believe that it is not the problem.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
