I took a hard look at the GN schedule and completed my event registration last night and mailed this am. I also sent an email out to ALL Chapter members polling who was attending. As with most GN's the schedule is busy and since there was not rooms or times set aside for Chapter meet-ups, I will have an informal Chapter Meet & Greet in our hotel suite on Thursday June 7 between 6pm and 10pm. This conflicts with the Salt Lick BBQ and may miss a few folks, but it was the best available time slot with everything else that was going on.
Flights are booked and will be arriving in Texas Wed, June 6, and staying until June 12. I cashed in some AA air miles and if I left on Sunday or Monday it would have been 2.5 x the miles needed and decided might as well stay a couple of extra days and check out the area some more. Ended up flying in and out of Austin, instead of San Antonio to get the best flight times.
Hi Doug, That is great. I will start building a list in the near future and capture who is going to the GN ... so stay tuned!
Jason, Elaine and I are planning on attending this year as well. Last one we attended was in Wisconsin in 2015, so we are really looking forward to seeing everyone.
Just booked my room for the 2018 Grand National at the Embassy Suites Hilton host hotel in San Marcos from Jun 6 to Jun 10. After attending 5 Grand Nationals in a row, then taking a reprieve last year, I am looking forward to jumping back into all the fun a CLC Grand National has to offer! I will start putting together a list of Chapter Members attending, and maybe plan for a get together as we have done in year's past.
I have set up a link to the 2018 Grand National Event Info on our website header and created an new web URL - www.2018GN.6364Cadillac.com to quickly find info on the 2018 GN.

I’m struggling with my TV rod adjustment. I’ve been trying to adjust it as per shop manual, but it’s still not OK. When cold, it shifts smoothly through all four gears, when hot, it hesitates (lots…Continue

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
