No Chris. It is a n ice supple soft dash. I've got one tiny area that just a press in slit on right side that was done when I had my front windshield replaced some years back. I didn't see it until some time after window was installed. Just very slight but was upset since it had been absolutely pristine! You wouldn't see it unless I did a close up but still......

That dashboard looks incredible by the way. My color has faded to an almost completely different color. Did you have it reconditioned?

Thanks Chris! You are a good young man, too.  You are so young we will have to call you a 63/64 Cadillac Jedi Knight apprentice!

Kurt, that's a funny way of putting it!  Kinda reminds me of the joke where the guy is looking across the desk at his Doctor and his doctor ask him "Is anyone suffering from insanity in your family?" and without batting an eyelash replies "No Sir! We all seem to be enjoying it just fine!".

It's a blessing and a curse. You know what they say: "Ignorance is bliss" Of the many true car guys I know, several are slightly OCD about their cars, myself included. Luckily for me, my slight laziness keeps it from being a problem LOL

I'll keep my eyes peeled for one Jason. I've seen quite a few '64/'63 parts at the meets in Pennsylvania. Hopefully, I'll find one this spring when the meets start back up.

Very keen eye, Kurt. You are becoming a 63/64 Cadillac Jedi Knight!

OH, I though that you finally got them all in the right color, that's why I asked. You've made experts out of a lot of us. I can recognize the slightest detail on 63/64 now.

NO...that's what I need... I've been trying to find a sandalwood tilt gear shift lever forever! I found the tilt lever last month but still need the gear shift lever!

Hey Jason, Is this an old pic? Looks like a blue gear shift cap.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
