yeah, they are wider on the 64 and include the vent window handle area. Thanks for posting your picture...that makes it very clear.
ps..this is a good topic question and may post in a separate blog and add to our Help Page.
Power vents are optional on Devilles and 62 series and only standard on the Eldorado and Fleetwoods. I converted and requires: power vent window motors/regulators, 6 way window switch and arm rest switch plates with cutout for 6 way switch on left/driver side, extra 1 way switch on the right side and switch plate with the extra cut for 2nd window switch on right/passenger side, 8 conductor power window harness to replace the 6 conductor power window harness that includes the additional 2 wires running between the power vent window switches. I have read and am sure you could just run an extra pair of heavy guage wires instead of swapping out the entire harness, but I had the complete Left and Right 8 conductor Harness on hand when I did mine and replaced the wiring. Also for 1964 Cadillacs you will need to get the solid top-front door pane metal filler plate to replace the one with the hole for the manual handle. For 1963 Cadillacs you will have a hole where the handle was before and will need to fill in and re-upholster the opening.
If you have all the parts I would say its a low-medium effort. You will spend most of your time getting behind the door panel, kickpanels and dash and fishing wires. It's definitely something you can over a few hours on a weekend.
Right now I am out of the power vent window motor/regulators and the 6 way switches, but should have the arm rest switch plates (I think), 1964 top-front door panel filler plate, and may have the 8 conductor harness but would need to check. If interested shoot me an email to jasonedge@nc.rr.com and can check on the wiring & switch plates and add you to my Needs List if you like. Some of the other members may have the other (or All) the items you need.
Jason, did you car come with power vent windows or did you convert it. My CDV has does not have power vents which I personally believe SHOULD have been included if the car has power windows. Anyway I have considered converting and was wondering how difficult that would be. Any info and parts pricing you can provide is appreciated.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
