Just ordered new tires for my 63.
As the front wheels have reasonable wear I want to align them or at least
have them aligned, but not sure if the alignment data in our shop manual
are still the right ones for the radial tires today?

Gutenberg Morgen Sammy,

camber radials: Left 0 degrees and Right 1/4 degrees

caster radials +2 degrees

toe in no more than  1/8

had mine done last month ,came out really good. Good Luck

Caster angle really positive?

For the camber it says 1/4 or 1/2 more positive on left side.

So it's different to recommendations in the shop manual.

How did you determine the values?

Guten Morgen, sorry Sammy .my German is terrible

Yes

Sammy, check out the help section, look up alignment. You’ll see that there where other members who had alignments done with those adjusted numbers that have been successful for these cars with radial tires. It worked for me

Thanks. I'm still a rookie at forums in general.

When I get some new shoes for my 64 Fleetwood, I'd like to recondition the rims. I'd thought of getting them powder coated, and still plan to eventually, but the $700 quote I received shunted that…Continue

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
