Does anyone have any good pics of the Hydramatic linkage? I'm trying to adjust the linkage per the shop manual. I have found that my manual rod is maxed out on adjustment which will not allow me to adjust it correctly. I suspect the manual lever is bent but I don't want to experiment with bending it until I know for sure what it should look like. The figures in the shop manual don't really help me determine what the lever should look like. Here's a pic of mine. The transmission is in park in the pic.

The lever is up side down in the bracket. Reposition the tab 180 deg and install it into the lever.

Yep. You are correct. I eventually figured that out. It's all good now. This started out as a NSS adjustment project. My reverse lights stayed on in Low too. After I adjusted the linkage I could then adjust the NSS. Reverse lights are good now but the NSS still leaks vacuum going from Dr to N. It's fine going from P->N->Dr, there is no vacuum leak but not so going the other direction. From Dr to N is leaks vacuum then going into P holds vacuum again.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
