Hello and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of our 1963/64 Cadillac Chapter Members!
Hopefully, you are all inside and staying warm today and looking forward to Santa Claus making his way to your house tonight with those Cadillac goodies in his bag.  I look forward to a fantastic year serving as your Chapter Director and Exec VP of the club and seeing some of you virtually on our monthly Zoom meet-ups, or in person at the 2023 Grand National in Albuquerque in June or the National Driving Tour next Fall.

Our Website - Check it Out!www.6364cadillac.com
I encourage all of you to jump on the forums and join in on our discussions, post pictures, videos, etc.  I continue to try and improve the site and add new things here and there.  For example, I just added a new Auto Links page where we can save other non-63/64 Cadillac Specific links.  We operate like the CLC forums, where non-members can join the site (but not the Chapter) but this site is there for you and would like to see all of us including myself use it more in 2023. Unlike a 2 dimensional social media forum like Facebook, we can have custom pages for Newsletters, Help Topics, Parts Supplier and Service Provider links, Member Cadillac Pictures, and pretty much anything we like. We also of course have different forums for 63/64 Cadillac specific discussion, general discussion, trivia, and even a suggestion box where you can tell me how to make the site or Chapter better!

Upcoming Newsletters
We also have two fantastic back-to-back newsletter feature Cadillac stories that will be out early 2023.   After that I need more Cadillacs to feature … so write something up about your Cadillac and send it and some good pictures to me and we will roll out the red carpet and show off your Cadillac! My goal is to feature every member Cadillac regardless of body style or condition!   I also love to include the tech tip type articles, so as you go through a project on your car this year, take pictures and take notes and send in an article!

Permanent 25% Chapter Discount at Classic Cadillac Parts
I really do appreciate all our Chapter Members and have provided Chapter Members a 10% discount on parts order with my side parts business; however, I increased the discount to 25% through the end of this year since this is the 25th year I have been in business selling parts.   I think this has been a big win-win since it saves our Chapter Members money, and it encourages non-members to join.  This is one reason I encourage you all to keep your CLC memberships up-to-date.  I am required to submit a report to the National Office twice a year with our Chapter Roster. When members lapse and do not renew within a few weeks you come off the roster.  That means your 25% discount goes away.

Chapter Members: We are 336 Chapter Members Strong!
We are far and above the biggest CLC Chapter or Region.   By having a great website and free online based membership we have truly led the way in the Cadillac & LaSalle Club. My only cost has been the cost to host the website at $300 a year which breaks down to 89 cents a year … not worth chasing it down from you guys so I cover it. I also know my parts business greatly benefits from many of our Chapter members …so again a Win-Win.

Our Chapter Store:  www.chapterstore.6364cadillac.com  More Items, More Great Stuff!
We have so much great stuff on our Chapter Store now it is Crazy. We have gone from one gray T-shirt to: ladies and men’s polo shirts, ladies and men’s lightweight jackets, fleece lined jackets, athletic jackets, baseball shirts, mechanics shirts, ladies t-shirts, men’s t-shirts, denim shirts, and caps, hoodies, totes, banners and more.  And, most come in many different colors!  They are also often running discounts, so be sure to look for and enter a discount code. Right now at check out if you enter GM20 you will save 20% off.

Finally, I would just like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

Jason.

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Vintage Air AC

Posted by Chase on March 21, 2024 at 5:55am 0 Comments

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC  accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year ,  There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A    What  is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks

'63 Eldorado trumpet horn + 2 standard horns restoration

Posted by Les Eastling on November 15, 2023 at 10:34am 1 Comment

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.

There is a restoration service called The Horn Works who my son…
