"Thank you Jason and Tony/Ginny for your replies. We found the 60034 gasket  through Napa Auto Parts. I just don’t get why the “Carter” labeled kits from those two suppliers wouldn’t include them "

"Carter gasket is FelPro 60034Rochester gasket is FelPro 9770.See pictures below.You will need 2 gasket as one is above and one below the intake to carb insulator.If you cannot find them I sell them new in pairs for $15."

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
