Yesterday I backed Dino out of the garage, and blasted the winter dust off with the air hose, and did several first of the season cruises around town .... filling it up with gas .... gotta do the mandatory cruise down our little down town once, twice, thrice....! Gotta stretch its legs and shoot out to Interstate 40 for a quick fast blast,,, then back around. Oh, got 2 more packages that missed the PO pick up so might as well do a PO run. Hmmm. The wife Cheryl's home from work ... might as well do a Coupe de Pooch Cruise with her and the Youngin's. So... the season is here... and Dino and the Pooches are ready to Let the Good Times Roll!

Great show but you are hiding in the shadows in that picture.. let's try this one:

I look like a fat bastard in that pic..... mainly cause I am.

This is a small clip of the day..... good variety of cars, except everything is wet. Good range of USA iron and some local home grown classics as well.

Looks like you had a good turnout. Nice clip and cool music. Was looking for your car. I saw a reflection of one in the green car about 9 seconds but don't think that is yours.

As strange as the weather has been in the U.S. this winter, you wonder when is the right time to bring the classics out to drive!!?? It’s crazy and I feel bad for the guys that live in colder climates that haven’t been able to go for cruise in months. Never have that issue being in CA, cruising is a year around ordeal, but I know it must feel nice Jay and for everyone else when you can finally take the Caddy out for a spin! Something about driving these cars is amazing, you simply never get tired of them. Especially going from your modern car that can ride rather stiff, bouncy and choppy, to a 63/64 Cad that just glides over everything without fuss. I wish every car rode like our cars do, but that’s what makes them special. Just drove my 64 the other day and i can’t wait for all the local car shows to start popping up in the next month or 2. Keep those Cadillacs rollin fellas!

Well, after driving in the rain for most of last Sunday, the Fleetwood is back to her sparkly self.

Washed the car, whitewalls cleaned, some leather treatment, well, over the leather....doh. Some Amoral over the dash, polished the wheel trims, Windex on the glass. Wiped down the engine bay with a couple of old polishing cloths, and then..... some Turtle-Wax over the 54 year old paint.

Man, she really shines, like a star... except.... Because the first owner bounced it off the gate post on occasion, with the extra shine, you can see its had more hits than Elvis himself and some of them really stand out now.

We're heading out soon, for a Cars n Coffee evening run tonight.

I had Jerry Lee Lewis playing while I was polishing too, holy crap, with some snappy fast music playing, i reckon I near had smoke coming off the polishing cloths too.

Only a mere 78 mile round trip tonight, but looking forward to it anyway.

I must remember what the camera is for tonight.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
