Making more adjustments, i read manual on this adjustment. Also read many rod adjustments on forum. Seemed straiforward until i read this.
2. Place 1/4 drill shank through gaging hole in
dash relay lever and into dash relay bracket.
3. With engine running, set carburetor throttle
lever in hot idle position. Air Conditioner
"OFF".
4. Adjust carburetor throttle rod trunnion to
allow free entry into dash relay
The photo in manual doesnt show a gaging hole in dash relay lever and dash relay bracket. Were is this located so that i can proceed to step 3. Remaining steps i hv read enough here and manual that i can go forward, just unsure of that step 2 operation.

The throttle rod mount bracket on the fire wall is what they are talking about. If your car is a 63, it has the vacuum dash pot on it. The 64 has a spring and plunger setup. Step 3 just means the choke has to be off, and the choke idle cam disengaged.
They want the engine running to draw in the plunger so the idle can be set. I just disconnect the throttle rod at the carb. However, I know my throttle assembly has been rigged correctly.
Yes, moving along. A gentleman down street, i hv mentioned b4, has given me some hands on instruction. He got the carb mixture set. Idle set. Had this flexible tool for adjusting the needles, had this snap on timing gun that measured everything, tach, timing, , etc. He just moves around the engine as if its second nature, so i hv been trying to observe and learn. It really helps to hv a explanation as an operation is being performed., so, continuing to press ahead.
made the adjustment,, seems to shift and function better with the adjustment made,, I had the rear nut to far to the back and had to adjust it forward a bit..

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
