Just as I had done last December with the standard 1963 Cadillacs magazine ads, I have started scanning my 1964 Cadillac Ads, and will post here one by one, then combine into a single photo album and point to from our Ads link in the header. When I am done perhaps there will be some I am missing... maybe not.
FIRST UP for 1964 is one you were more likely to find in the ladies magazines like this one titled "Ladies Twist Cadillacs Around Their Little Fingers" from an issues of House & Garden. In this ad we see a 1964 Coupe de Ville, with the tip of a 1963 Cadillac at the rear.

I think this will be my last regular 1964 Print ad that only has the 1964 Cadillac included. I will next go to my multi-year ads, first with the 1964 featured, and then some later year ads where the '64 is included but not the featured model year. I also have one or two I may want to rescan and post as I found a better copy.
Tonight's featured original 1964 Cadillac print ad is
Cadillac Ladies Say It Better Than We Can!,
which features a de Ville Convertible in foreground and Four Window Sedan de Ville in the background.
So now we move on to the multi-model year Cadillac Ads that include a 1964 Cadillac.
Tonight's featured original 1964 Cadillac print ad is
How To Fit A Cadillac Into Any Budget,
which features a 1964 de Ville Convertible, 1962 Coupe de Ville, 1963 Four Window Sedan de Ville and a 1960 Six Window Sedan.
Continuing to look at the multi-model year Cadillac Ads that include a 1964 Cadillac, we now turn to the later model Cadillac ads that include 1964 Cadillacs. Believe it or not I have 4 different ads from 1965/66 that include a 1964 Cadillac! Tonight we will look at the the first of those 4 ads:
Go Ahead ... Go Cadillac!
which features a 1965 Sedan de Ville, 1964 de Ville Convertible, and a 1962 Coupe de Ville.
Interesting that the '65 ad above is the first mention (that I've seen) of the term "previously owned" versus "used."
Whoever thought that up deserved a big raise.
I was watching an old episode of "Perry Mason" last night (from 1965) and he was driving a new dark-colored '65 de Ville convertible.
The rest of the screen cars were Chevys, as Chevrolet had taken over product placement from Ford that year. But, one '65 Riviera made it into a couple of scenes, so that might have meant that GM, not just Chevy, was the car supplier.
These old shows are fun to watch, as the production qualities were high and the actors were very good (you'll recognize a lot of the name/faces from other shows of the '50s-60s.) Plus, who doesn't like a good mystery set in SoCal in the '50s/60s? Paul Newman as "Harper." James Garner as "Marlowe."
I found a better copy of the first 1964 Print Ad "LADIES TWIST CADILLACS AROUND THEIR LITTLE FINGERS" I posted in this series and have scanned a posted this better version below and replaced the original. You will see all of these together in an upcoming newsletter and want to get the best scanned version possible.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
