A Shout Out to Alan Grist & Some Pictures of His 1964 Series 62 4W Sedan

As they say, Better Late Than Never!

I want to give a shout out to 63/64 Chapter Member Alan Grist, who brought his 64 Series 62 Four Window Sedan, to the 2025 CLC Winter Board Meeting in Chattanooga, TN on Feb 1, 2025.

Alan has a very clean, highly optioned Series 62 that includes power windows & power seats (both optional on Series 62), power door locks, tilt steering, AC, and seat belts. You also have to consider there were roughly 1/3 the number of 1964 Series 62 Four Window Sedans build vs the 1964 Four Window Sedan de Villes! That means the survivor #'s are much fewer and to find one in this condition is really cool.

Alan...sorry taking so long. You have a fine Cadillac and it was great to meet-up with you in person! Hope to see you and the Caddy in Murfreesboro at the Grand National this year!

ps. I forgot to mention the Paint Code is 26, Somerset Blue, a really dark blue.

Beautiful pictures of Alan's car!  The color, Somerset Blue is really sharp.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
