My car lacks the mechanism or spring needed to hold the jack in the storage slot on the right side of the trunk. Anyone have a picture of the item I should find?

Jason, are the wooden blocks a factory component? Mine also came with the black wood block for the tire block.
It is mega hot here this week. Perhaps repainting my bumper jack is something easy I can accomplish this week......
I believe all Cadillacs of the 60s and 70s came with those black-painted triangular blocks of pine. They did in my 67, 69, and 70 cars. I plan to take the dimensions off those and prepare a block for this 1964 car which is missing the block.
Did they come with one or two wedge blocks ?
One block in each of my cars - except the 64.
63's and 64's had one block.
Thatd be great! I think I have mine kicking around here somewhere. Let me know what the dimensions of yours is. I think mine was split in two it was so dry. Id like to remake mine as well.
Measurements of the block in the trunk of my 69 Cadillac:
Picture a right triangle:
Base = 3 1/2"
Height = 5 3/4"
Hypotenuse = 6 5/8"
The block is 3 1/2" thick, so if looking down on the base, you'd see a 3.5" square.
The block in my 67 Cadillac also is made of pine painted black, but the dimensions are a fraction of an inch different.
This is excellent! Thank you!
I shall remake mine as well
It looks great, but the animated picture is spectacular. The talent in this group is impressive.
Thanks for the picture. I will investigate.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
