Hi there everyone,

My name is Phil and I'm new here. I reckon I'll be asking lots of questions from the geniuses here and this is my first. To begin, Yes, I do indeed have the shop manual and the master parts list. I'm excited to finally have another Cadillac to work on but found myself with a sort of Frankenstein, neglected girl. My previous was a 72 CDV and I've always loved the 64. I ended up with a 63 Convertible which I love, even with all her baggage.

Here goes.....I'm replacing the fuel line. Those that have done it...have you just replaced it with another steel line? I've never done a fuel line before. Is it best to get the pre-bent lines or can you just buy a length and bend it yourself?

2nd question, I restored my fuel tank and shame on me, the one pic I didn't take was of the vent line. When reinstalling, it seems AWFULLY close to the exhaust pipe. Is this right? (See pic) Just seems fuel venting that close to a hot exhaust would be a bad thing, no?

Thanks in advance for any knowledge you care to share!

Did you replace your fuel lines w SS? Or did 64 come that way from the factory? I dont have fuel issues (yet) but I have looked into running all new lines just to be done with it once and for all!

Logan

Thanks for the reply. Anyone with pics of theirs (installed) would be helpful.

Cheers

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
