Happy Father's Day to my dad, Sam Edge. He was there in the beginning with me when I started bringing in the 1963/64 Cadillac driver and parts cars. Here we are with Parts Car #1, from 1997. That was one of those days that will live with me forever. We towed the car from Zebulon,NC with a pipe and chain and the window was busted out, so it was cold for him sitting behind the wheel steering. When we got it to the driveway it came lose and had traffic blocked in each direction. We finally got it hooked back up, around to the back of the house, and after adding some oil, and gas got it fired up and running. He told me he would have drove it tot house if he knew it run! The last couple of pictures are with the doors and front clip off the car with my dad driving it around the yards. Fun times!
For the next 8 years we had a blast pulling in parts cars, taking them apart, working on my 64 Coupe deVille and other cars, and our 1912 fixer upper house. YOU READ ABOUT DADS THAT WERE NEVER THERE ... I WAS LUCKY... MY DAD SAM EDGE WAS ALWAYS THERE AND MISS HIM DEARLY!

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
