64 window power for the electrically inclined

HI,, I recently got a 64 convert.  all was well roughly, until I trailered it home.  fixed the transmission issue..Now, passenger door window wont operate.  did fine up till about a week ago.  It has a switch on top of driver door . see picture.  To work windows in any state, I must push and hold switch to Emergency position.  all 4 windows worked up till just other day. All windows did work at there location as well, if that switch was held as well, but nothing works in Lock or Normal.  This…See More

my pump has gone out again in 63, 390. I dont know why, either too tight a belt or something else, been 2 or three since rebuild and 13k miles.. it was a gates unit.  it seems for a while the cordone unit was the only one out there with the enclosed impeller but apparently, they are no longer available anywhere, even there company site doesn't list them.  While searching, I found that rock auto now has a supplier with the enclosed impeller,  …See More

Suspension on 63 cdv

Hi all.   my 63 has developed squeaks and creaks recently.   I took a look at the ball joints and associated rubber parts, and they do look a bit worn.  I have replaced shocks in last year or so.  When I bounce the front ends, you can hear the squeak and "feel" the squeak when you put your hand on the upper control arm.  I put some oil on them to try and settle it down for temporary relief. I feel like Uncle Buck riding around with the squeek at stop lights!!   the prior owners that had the car…See More

63 cdv headlights

over the last 6 months, I have noticed on my head lights,  with the eye thing disengaged.  when I run my brights, they seem to run fine, clicking back and forth to low and high, its fine.  then, after about 10 minutes, it goes from bright to dim, on its own, no oncoming traffic, just clicks to low. and wont allow a return to bright, I can hit it, and it will click to bright but immediately go back to dim.  if I run at dim for 10 minutes or so, I can then go back to bright, and it will stay…See More

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
