"I have never replaced them in the car, but would assume gently lifting evenly up, watching closely for clearance issues as it goes up a bit to clear the studs. It may end up that you do need to go up one side first ... slightly... then tilt slightly…"

"Thank you so much about the placement I probably would not have noticed that . I have got the bolts loose and that was tough . I guess the biggest part is getting the 3 smaller bolts started before setting the engine back down. Thanks…"

"Mark, The main thing to remember when in stalling your new motor mounts is that the right passenger side goes in front of the tabs on the block while the left driver side mount behind the tabs on the block. See pictures below for reference. If you…"

OK the speedo  is off by  9 miles an hour after I put on the radial tires I have a pink gear which I think is 35 teeth so it looks like I need a 38 tooth blue?    Another issue I have is a gas smell  coming from  the rear of the car no leaks I have cked it 3 times no leaks is that tube that hangs off of the rear of the gas tank with the loop is that supposed to have piece of foam or a ck valve in it Mine has none. 3rd when I put 4 people in the car it bottoms out on speed bumps I was thinking…See More

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
