Hey everyone. I am a new member as of March 2021. I am actively in the market for a 1964 Cadillac Deville convertible. Red, black, blue or maybe even white. I am not looking for a Concours level vehicle, I have no intention of taking anything to shows. I am looking for a Deville to drive on nice weather summer days in Michigan and to enjoy. I plan to work on and upkeep the vehicle and probably upgrade a few items like brakes and ignition. I am a retired engineer with 34 years of experience at GM where I started at Cadillac (Clark Street) working along side some of the people that designed and tested the 64 version of the Deville. I am looking forward to driving and enjoying one of these fine vehicles and meeting some of you in the future.

I found a diagram that illustrates the main factor in determining a spark plug heat range that I was trying to describe to you during the chapter get together.
Here it is:
The main factor is the length of the ceramic insulator from the middle of the spark plug to the tip (where the spark happens)
The insulator…

I was working on my HVAC system this winter and during the process of taking the dash pad off these two parts fell out. Does anyone know what they are and where they go?

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
