Intake manifold gaskets

I am in the middle of doing a carburetor update and I am planning on blocking out the middle exhaust ports on the in manifold as per Jason's instructions on doing this update.  I am going to install an Edelbrock 1406 carb with electric choke.  In the instructions Jason mentions that the intake manifold gaskets should be updated to the thicker kind in order to seal around the metal plate being added to block off the exhaust passage that goes through the intake manifold on the production set up.…See More

New vehicle in the club

I was successful in getting a vehicle from the New York contact I talked about at the last club meeting. I am still trying to figure out how to post a picture of the vehicle that is tied with this comment so if you see a random picture of a black convertible in a yard, that's me haha.  See More

Hey everyone.  I am a new member as of March 2021.  I am actively in the market for a 1964 Cadillac Deville convertible.  Red, black, blue or maybe even white.  I am not looking for a Concours level vehicle, I have no intention of taking anything to shows.  I am looking for a Deville to drive on nice weather summer days in Michigan and to enjoy.  I plan to work on and upkeep the vehicle and probably upgrade a few items like brakes and ignition.  I am a retired engineer with 34 years of experience at GM where I started at Cadillac (Clark Street) working along side some of the people that designed and tested the 64 version of the Deville. I am looking forward to driving and enjoying one of these fine vehicles and meeting some of you in the future.

Map Light

I have a 63 Cadillac Series 62 convertible.  Can someone post a picture showing what the map light should look like?

Mine is a meta air vent like grating, which just does not look right for a map light.

Thanks in advance.  Rick

Upgrades for the Coupe de Ville

Posted by Kurt on December 24, 2021 at 6:00pm 4 Comments

At long last I finally have power vent windows! I started collecting the parts 3 years ago. The one thing I could not find until recently is the 6 button driver's switch. Jason finally pulled one in and was more than generous with pricing. Thanks Jason! Installing the vent window motors was the easiest part of the project but many other tasks were spawned by this project.

  1. There is a hole in the door panels where the window crank was. I considered putting a hub cap emblem there…

center bolt size for crankshaft pulley

Posted by Dan Norris on December 6, 2021 at 3:13pm 2 Comments

I need to pull my distributor, and still have the cork in the end of the crankshaft. What is the bolt size needed to thread a bolt in there to be able to turn the motor over with a pull handle and socket to get it to TDC exactly before I pull the distributor out?

Dan
