Carter AFB Electric choke kit

Good point on the rich startup on warm. My fuel injected 76 Seville has an electric fast idle valve heater which when cold is heated by 12V but when fully extended will remain so from heat soak from the warm engine. I assumed the electric choke would remain open when the engine is warm but maybe not.

Thanks Tony. Yes, the one good thing about a manual choke is that you have complete control of how open it is. I guess I will leave my Carter as is. When it finally craps out will get an Edelbrock with electrec choke.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
