All of our CLC members should have received their Cadillac & LaSalle Club Museum & Research Center Board of Directors election ballot with their April Self Starter as seen above.
I encourage all of our Chapter Members to send in your ballot and consider a vote for 63/64 Chapter Member Jim Verraster.
In addition to being a chapter member with a 1963 Park Avenue that will be spotlighted in the near future, Jim has been very involved in the CLC Museum over the last two years, with a passion to seeing the CLC Museum completed. In addition to personally pledging to the "Eldorado" level, he has hosted a fundraiser back in October and is planning more for this year. Jim indicated "I am not a Cadillac technical person - I am just a really big Cadillac fan and have been my whole life. My contributions to the board would be more about getting the CLCMRC project done and supported financially for years to come...among other kinds of non-technical guidance." As director of the 63/64 Cadillac Chapter, I strongly encourage you to include Jim as one of your nominees! It will be great to have a chapter member on the CLCMRC Board of Directors.
I also strongly endorse Bill Anderson who is the director of Technical Services and oversees the Authenticity Manual projects among many other things. I consider Bill a mentor when it comes to technical restoration and authenticity and and know his many years of experience will continue to be a great asset to the CLCMRC, not to mention our efforts to assist in completing the 63/64 Authenticity Manual.
With that said, tick off your nominees on the tear of card, and get it in the mail. Here is information included in the ballot regarding Jim Verraster:

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks
