There is a short hose on the top of the motor that connects from a straight pipe on the top of the engine to the water pump. It appears to be a molded hose. I have ordered a master parts book which has not yet arrived. Does anyone know where I could find a new one (before I am forced to fashion some sort of solution)? It appears that he bought it without keys and rather than pay a lock smith, he destroyed the tumbler for the trunk lock. I bought a a replacement tumbler and connecting bar. The tumbler is fine. the connecting bar is too short. I have the old one but it is held onto the destroyed lock tumbler by a rivet. Even if I drill out the rivet, the old bar will be good as a template only as it does not have the right…See More

Dear All,
Does anyone know if the 1963 Cadillac was manufactured with nylon timing gears? I checked the factory repair manual which is silent on that issue.
This morning I was speaking with a mechanic at a location where I store another vehicle ('48 Chrysler NY'er). He had a 70 Deville convertible on his lift to dismantle it so that he could replace the timing chain and more importantly, the nylon timing gears. Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
