Hi there,
I'm Sammy from Germany and I'm new to this chapter…
So this is my first discussion I would like to start.
I own a 63 CdV for over 11 years now and plan to do some work on it this winter. '
One major thing is to build up the intake, carb air cleaner with an
Edelbrock and the original air filter.
Last weekend I found another thing to do:
Exchanging interior light in the speedometer assembly, maybe my eyes get worse
or I was too much with modern cars - to me it is to dark at night.
Does anyone now if it is a good idea changing bulbs to LED?
Recommendations?
Thanks a lot,
Sammy

Just put new bulbs in. The bulbs in there are probably very old and silvered up.
I did that already, even cleaned connection points…
Not that big difference.
I bought some from superbrightleds.com, the ones I used are the BA9s 4 led bulb.
Sounds great, is it a big difference?
Where did you use them?
I used them in the dash , replaced a few to see the difference, and they seem to be brighter than even new incandescent bulbs,

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
