While I am in the Raleigh, NC area I am an active member of the Charlotte based CLC Carolina Region and would strongly encourage you to join the Region and reach out to members such as our President Travis Dowell who has lived in the Charlotte area and has had a fleet of Cadillacs over the years and can probably point you to some local Charlotte based mechanics. Travis is listed on the Carolina Region Website on the contacts page at this link: https://cr-clc.ning.com/contacts Travis can also get you signed up to the region so you can make contacts with other region members! Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
