Gentlemen,
I’m have a bit of a hard time removing the interior chrome windshield side moulding trim necessary to remove the dash pad. I’ve removed the screws, but the trim does not seem lose and I don’t want to force it. How do the chrome pieces actually lift out?

With bottom and top screw out, grab near the top and pull down and inward. After being installed 60 years the stick a bit, but with firm prying down and out, the inner A pillar ultimately will pop loose.

Thanks Jason.  I'll give that a try.

Also, I want to pull the black and plastic Radio Face Plate (see picture).  I've managed to get 5 of the 6 screws out, but one screw is impossible to see and is down near the ignition switch.  It appears it can only be reached with a small open end wrench, but I just can see it. (on of the reasons I am pulling the dash cover.   Any thoughts about getting that last screw out?

Do you have have a nice chrome instrument bezel available?  My is okay, but it has some pitting dots.  Not horrible, but not clean either.

Thanks, again.

Mike

On road til Jan 30. I can check for bezel when I get home.

Got them off!  Thanks, again!

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
