Really nice Eldo, owned by an Aussie too...... (i'd take the badges off the grille if it was mine)

Love the splatter attack "how to"

I'm guessing Dino still has a dicky ticky lifter?

Nice work on the house, being retired would be so relaxing.

Thanks Kevin. Yes this 64 Eldo is definitely eye candy! Dino still has a lifter tick so have only had a few short drives in the last couple of months. I had through through my course of attack a couple of times ... want to maybe freshen up a few other things while I am in there ... but need to remember what I have forgotten there, too! Once I get the roof framed and sheathed on the new addition I will fill more "relaxed" to stop and take on more car projects. I am supposed to go get Parts Car #52 in Cincinnati, Ohio on Nov 16. But that is still pending. Maybe you can read about that adventure in a December Newsletter.

Try some Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer in Dino.

Its friggin good stuff, I use it in everything I have from the lowly mower to the Fleetwood. For the sake of $20, it just might knock that dicky ticky lifter to the curb.

I've probably tried it. I tried everything over a year ago but nothing is bringing that dead lifter back to life. I have had a new box of lifters and push rods ready to go in it ... just got to get to it.

Yeah mate, fully understand with the work load you have. The house with Mum in-law has to come first. If I was even remotely near your place, i'd just come on over one morning and hook into it for you. Bit hard from here huh.

A truly amazing effort to bring a 1964 Cadillac convertible back to life the hard  very expensive way from the other side of the world

This guy knows a great convertible when he sees one !

I do second his passion to own the great 1964  Classic Antique Cadillac Convertible myself

His is a very stunning example and not a very common color choice

Always a fan of the  look of the interior and exterior being the same color when the top is down

As good as it gets !!!

Enjoy

I've posted about this issue in the past and I thought I had it resolved. It would appear I do not as it has reared its ugly head again. My TH400 in the 64 Fleetwood has an intermittent problem of…Continue

Lower Front End Ball Joints

Posted by Logan Robb on May 11, 2023 at 9:04am 7 Comments

Good Morning all!

I took the 64 into the shop to have some adjustments completed and in the process decided to have the lower ball joints replaced as was recommended the last time I had it in. I ordered the parts and came into the shop. They quoted me nearly $500 to replace those lower ball joints requiring nearly 4hrs of labor. Now this is a reputable shop and they know me by name here and they will continue to get my business. I am just questioning what on earth is…

1964 power steering sector rebuild

Posted by CHRIS CARLSON on March 20, 2023 at 11:32pm 3 Comments

I'm having my steering sector rebuilt, and considering changing it from 20-1 ratio 4.2 turns lock to lock to 3.5 turns lock to lock @ 16-1 ratio, If i change from a 3 1/4" box to a 3" box i could have a 14-1 Ratio steering response would be faster, shorter distance to turn the wheel to get a response,   has anyone done this? and how do you like it? thank you

I've looked at the usual rubber sources but couldn't find any.
