Good morning all. I am very new to Cadillac ownership and to the chapter, but excited about being part of such a good community. I just got my 63 Fleetwood and beginning to learn about her. We're hoping for my wife and I to get her ready to drive to the 2021 Grand National. Noticed a couple of issues right off.
Any insights from the group?
Thanks,
Chris

Hello Chris,
go to the help section up above, scroll down to seat transmission cleaning repair that should help you figure out what’s happening, old dried up grease is usually the culprit. For your trans leak grab a can of carb , brake cleaner and spray it down and wipe it down with a rag , take the car for a ride if u can or maybe let it ide for a bit , you might be able to see where it’s coming from, mine was leaking from the speedometer housing, it was an easy fix 2 o-rings hasn’t leaked since ..good luck hope the info helps
Thank you Ray. Appreciate the help. Chris
Was admiring your interior project pics, nice work. Where did you get those beautiful seatbelts? Chris
If your looking for seatbelts, you might have to reach out to Jason Edge .... all those pictures you see in the help section are his collections , my seatbelts came with my car , I think they were an option back in 63-64
Seat belts are one of the most in demand items I have on my Wait List. At least count I had about a dozen customers lookigng for original front seat belts and double that looking for rears. I am pulling them in hear are there, maybe 1 or 2 a year sometimes but when you are getting dozens of requests a year that means means demand has far outstripped supply. At least my supply. Since I give 1st preference to Chapter members, I can't recall anytime in the last 5 years a set went to a non-Chapter Member. That and the 10% discount I give are 2 good reasons to join the CLC (www.cadillaclasalleclub.org/join) and our Chapter. For anyone that want to go on the Wait List give me a shout at jasonedge@nc.rr.com

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
