1963 & 1964 Cadillacs Needed to Feature in our Chapter Newsletters!

Hello all 63/64 Cadillac Website Members and good weekend!

Over the past two years we have run a month by month analysis of each of the specific body styles and featured a member car as part of the 50th anniversary of the 1963 then the 1964 Cadillac. Now that we are past that milestone we are free to run any member car or story and encourage each of you to consider submitting a story about your Cadillac for a potential full cover feature. I currently only have one "promised" story in the can, but other than that we have a clean slate for you to show off your car!

Two thing are needed... well, actually three. I need some decent pictures, and a write up. The write-up can be short or long and cover any angle whether it be history of the car, a restoration project, or current meet-up or cruise you are involved with. The sky is literally the limit as long as it is in good taste.  The third thing, is you need to be a Cadillac LaSalle Club and chapter. If not a member check out joining at  http://www.cadillaclasalleclub.org/joinrenew/

After winning this year's Newsletter's Excellence Award, I definitely want to do the best I can to ensure we continue to produce a quality newsletter.

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
