My last day at work today then getting serious about packing and ready to roll out for our 12 hr drive up to Lake George. I have added several names to our list of members going here on the 2014 GN forum and really looking forward to seen old and new member faces in NY!  Cheryl and I are looking at a cruse or two on the lake Tuesday before the GN gets started but there are so many options offered its hard to choose! There's a 5 hr cruise from one end to the other of the lake then some shorter 2 to 2 1/2 hr cruise, brunch/lunch cruises, etc.

Of course the fun starts happening with the cars start driving in and will of course have my camera in hand and hope to post some cool pictures back once the GN gets going!   Well, better take that 10 mile drive into work..... then it's all GRAND NATIONAL TIME! Jason.

I have zero emails in my inbox (will last for about one nano-second), nothing but clear skies here in Central NC (hurricane Arthur tracking on up the cost away from us), and ready to put a shine on my Big Black Cadillac 'Brutus' and get some packing done for our trip up to Lake George. As posted on my FB page, we are leaving Sunday for Winchester, VA to check out Patsy Cline's home then on up I-81, I-84 and I-87, bypassing all of the major east coast cities, on to Lake George for the Cadillac LaSalle Club Grand National!

Ready to pull out for and head north in about an hour. Yesterday I pulled a 19.5 hr day from 5am to 12:30 am getting The Escalade packed and loaded, and checked over and cleaned for our big trip!  I think I'll need to sleep the first day in Lake George!   First we are headed to Winchester, VA to check out Patsy Cline's house, the on north stopping by to see some friends in Hagerstown, VA.

NOTE: I have reserved Table #12 at the Banquet for Chapter Members that would like to join Cheryl and Me at the Saturday Banquet.

We had a great time at the Reception and CLC Museum Auction last night, and ended up picking up an really nice original 1963 Specification Manual.  I was bidding against Chapter Member and Carolina region President Greg Powers, but Greg saw I really wanted it to replace the reprint copy I currently have and stopped bidding.  I had already picked up REALLY nice copies of 1962, 1963 and 1964 shop manuals that the museum had brought for sale.

Today they have seminars and tonight we do the dinner and fireworks cruises on the lake! Life is good for a Cadillac Lover up here in Lake George.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
