When I purchased my 63 Series 62 Convertible a couple of years ago the previous owner was not very studious when it came to cleaning. I brought the car home and cleaned it top to bottom. The interior came pretty darn clean but the top was so badly stained and the isinglass badly scratched I resigned myself to replace the top.
Well as time has gone by I have removed all the scratches in the isinglass by carefully polishing. I thought I'd give cleaning one more try with a soap bar from the 1893 called FELS-NAPTHA. The results were nothing short of amazing!
First attempt trying to clean with convertible top cleaner when first purchased 2 years ago,

Second attempt this weekend with FELS-NAPTHA
Almost as good as new. Look how white the stitching came out.
Even removed the greasy stains where he didn't fold the top properly.

The convert top looks great and very clean with the product you used
What is ininglass ??
Enjoy
Tony
Isinglass is the clear vinyl rear window.
Thanks
Norm
Do consider using a sealer on the convert top to keep it clean looking longer
Some add a shine that I do enjoy myself on mine
Enjoy

Good Morning all!
I took the 64 into the shop to have some adjustments completed and in the process decided to have the lower ball joints replaced as was recommended the last time I had it in. I ordered the parts and came into the shop. They quoted me nearly $500 to replace those lower ball joints requiring nearly 4hrs of labor. Now this is a reputable shop and they know me by name here and they will continue to get my business. I am just questioning what on earth is…
