I have the CDV 63.
i have looked but dont see many pictures of a passenger side rear view mirror.. was that a standard item? personally, i find the driver side one hard to see out of due to the window pillar and if he vent wdw is open its almost useless...with all the vertical pieces..
bu, back tot he passenger side..i would assume it would go in same appx spot as the driver, if it came with one, correct....
i think i have seen some of the older impalas et were it was located up about half way along the hood near about over the tire,,, it seemed a logical place,,, but i was looking for one if they were used then,, and were the actual placing should be,, i like to be able to see along that side,,
sincerely

It was an option for the passenger mirror. Not a lot of them got it. Opgi sells them new though. Try spinning you side mirror down and in not up and out. If you look at dealer pictures that's how its installed. Jason pointed that out to me and its easier to see. It doesn't look right and you wonder why they designed it like that but it seems the proper way to do it.
spinning the mirror helped a lot,, its just sort of cluttered with post and glass and stuff, made it hard to see with the vent open,
thanks for the info
The RH mirror was a dealer installed option that saw there way onto very small % of 1963 and 1964 Cadillacs, but I think they give the car a nice balance. It is referenced in the 1964 Cadillac Accessories Manual on page 5. This accessories manual accompanied your owner's manual and usually found in the owners manual pouch in the glove box. If you want to learn a lot about your car, you would be surprised how much information is in the owner's manual and Cadillac Accessories manual. If your are missing either of these documents I have them for sale at a reasonable price.
Back to the dealer installed and optional right hand mirror, we have 2 Help Page topics that you might want to check out:
- Mirrors: Example Pictures & Illustrations
- Mirrors: Installation Holes for RH Mirror
Wouldn't be without one here.
Parked up at the kerb, with a car behind me, the passenger mirror is all I have to see what's coming.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
