While I know all the bugs arent out, but after a quick drive doing the 50 mph accel and quick decel part of the engine breaking,, its doing ok,, i think, but nothing blew out of the hood, of fell out on the highway,,,,,Yet!!
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who threw in a thought during the process. Tony, who is always encouraging,, Jason, who is always quoting me the bible, but it evenually gets through, Mark, who has simple explanations that really help me out on the carb tune and searching for the simple answer for the back fires (crossed spark wires), Russ with all the parts and the shortest answers and suggestions,,and anyone else who had a thought or idea or suggestion,, it all went in to the process to hopefully get this thing back on the road,, not sure id want to do it again, but I know with some help and guidance, I can.
I have come a long way from the 73 eldo convert i bought several years ago, (its my go to car for summer afternoons up here i MT) and remember asking one time about the big black round thing that hung off the bottom of engine on the passenger side, and the guy over at the lasalle forum, I think he goes by tassie deville, said,, I'm cant believe I'm having to answer this question,, its the starter!!! so, I'm still gonna keep on trying to learn and ask a lot of stupid questions,, but I'm getting there,,
if anyone is interested in the cost of the build as i incurred them, let me know,, in the event someone else is going this route,
again, thanks to everyone,,,

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
