Vintage Promo Picture #2 - 1963 Fleetwood on Cobblestones & Black Background

Here is the 2nd picture in my collection of "Promo Pictures" - a 1963 Fleetwood 60 Special. This one always struck me as a bid odd with the passenger and assuming the driver casually dressed and the driver with back to the camera.  Usually you see the male and female models with these cars dressed to the T's. Perhaps this is not a early promo but other than the odd looking people and placement, it looks like one to me. I always loved the profile of this 60 Special in this picture.  The placement on the cobblestones and blacked out background make the car pop.

ps. If in anyone knows sources, or history for any of these pictures, please let us  know!

Another thing that jumped out at me was the fact they didn't even install a front license tag filler place. These horizontal lined filler plates would have been a nice touch to the pictures. It does look like a photo shoot regardless of time and place.  It was carefully set up with lighting nicely cast, even into the rear passenger area.  Note the refection on the right passenger side of the car. They were even careful enough to make sure nothing other than the cobblestones and black wall were reflected. To me this looks like a nice car photo shoot where the photographers or set-men decided to just jump in and get into the picture.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
