When Olde Cadillac & Olde House Restoration Collide!
Since retiring I have several house project at any given time in addition to my Cadillac projects. Sometimes they collide into each other and am often able to use tools from one endeavor with the other. Here I am using an engine lift with steel cables I use to strap engines to palates to lift well pump pipe out of well casing pipe.

So.... My wife comes home from work and she says to me "So I get home and the first thing you want to show me is how far you have your pole in the air!" LOL. As seen in 1st picture below, I had lifted the water pump pipe about 20' up over the water pump casing pipe. I then cut it, then lifted 2 more 10' sections for a total of 40' of pipe. I still don't see the bottom and gave it a rest as temps are 90+ today (meaning with our humidity it would be 150 degrees in AZ LOL). The 2nd section is one of the 10' sections. 3rd picture is the hook I made up with steel cable I use to strap engines down.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks
