Hi Cadillac Friends,
I already read the following posts and I have the same problem.
I already lubricated the cable with graphite and tried some other stuff. It worked for a while but now it is just too bad and I need a lower cable for my cruise control speedometer cable. I'm still not sure wich one is damaged, the cable core or the cable hose, but it's the lower/long cable from the transmission to the cruise control unit and not the short from the cruise control to the speedometer.
Long story short, I need a new (or good original) lower/long speedometer cable.
Does anyone of you have one for sale or can anyone suggest a shop where I can get one in good quality?
Thank you in advance
Chris

Thank you, Jason!
Rock auto has a brand new upper for less than 9 buck Canadian, so about 6 US funds
If you could supply an unbroken inner cable, you should be able to have a new one made up.
yes, Clovis, but I need the long/lower one ;)
I'm still searching for the lower/long cable for my 1964 Fleetwood WITH cruise control. Anybody have an idea where I can get this thing?
A cable without cruise is not a problem to get, even the upper/short cable with cruise, but not the lower...
As a Chapter member you are #2 on my Wait List for this item. I have one other Chapter Member ahead of you and will keep you on my List Until I bring one in or you find one elsewhere.
Awesome, Jason!! Thank you. Great to have you all and this great community.
Mine is a 63 cdv non cruise,,,, would there be one cable on this?? mine bounces occasionally, and after driving a while, it sort of settles down and just sort of bounces,, but I'm just guessing it bounces more when its cold and when transmission heats up it loosens up,, now this is just a guess, but hat is how it seems to act
ok, thanks,,, still a little cold here,,, but will get on some of these projects soon

My reservoir is a little low. Any recommendations on my purchase of refill fluid? There are likely new fluids and I’d like to buy the right product. Thanks. Continue

Hello All! I’m struggling to find an answer to this question, hoping a member can help. Can I swap the crankshaft from a 1966 429 w/TH400 to my 1964 429 w/TH400 trans? I came across an article that…Continue

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
