I have not researched the 1963 literature, but did research the 1964 that shows a lighter cap with dark lettering in items I found. The 1963 Dealer Data Book does not show the battery and the shop manual (Fig 12-4 and 12-6 is two vague) other than to show spring ring terminals meaning the red covered cap in picture above is incorrect. Bill Anderson who is a professional restorer and director of the CLC Authenticity Manuals did Jim Verraster's 1963 Park Avenue with the yellow caps as seen in picture below. If anything I have learned is that items often changed from year to year and even quite often within a production year. the 5 bladed clutch, to 7 bladed non-clutch, to 5 bladed clutch to 7 bladed non-clutch in the same 1964 production year for AC equipped 62 and 63 series cars is a good example.
Here is a picture of Jim Verraster's 63 Park Avenue which was featured in our newsletter last year?

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
