Yes. I found out about the radial not fitting in the storage compartment the hard way. I found that if I deflate the tire it will squeeze up there. I also used a plastic bag to let the tire slide in place otherwise the rubber grips the trunk lining (still a tight fit deflated). I just keep a portable electric pump in the trunk in case I ever have a flat and need to use the spare. I just reminded myself that I need to put a small floor jack or bottle jack in the trunk because I darn sure am not using a bumper juck on my refinished bumpers! (not cheap!)
That is a very nice looking car and a bargain in my opionion. I agree that the exhaust tips don't do anything good for this car.
There are a lot of nice features about this car. ..nice straight body lines, and most original items intact. It's always nice to see the original jack equipment mounted to the right trunk cardboard sidewall. This is often not the case in the parts cars I pull in.
Looking at the Bahama Sand 63 CDV and the trunk picture (see below) reminded my of my Newsletter Writeup about original tires and rims and the radials "too fat" to fit in the storage compartment. I also saw the person describe the interior as white. If I didn't know the correct color (light sandalwood) I think anyone can see this is light tan.....and not at all white. I'm not complaining about the car, just quick observations. I like to look at ebay items as a good source of examples of each body style, the trim offerings, and oftten how they have been "customized" a bit over the years.
I will say the "duals" on this car look like they could be seen from a country mile how they hand down below the frame. This is where I was at with the cherry red sedan deville way back (but tucked better under the frame I will say) and steered me to just end the pipes at the rear axle on my CDV. I do think the duals out the rear might look cool to a 16 year old (well maybe in 1980) but not so much now. If this is any of our members car, I apologize...but the duals just stick out as something not to do. Here are pictures of comments above:

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks
