I need to see the right way to attach my door panels. Just had them made but am unsure of how to attach them. A pic would be great. Thanks in advance

Phil, do you have a series 62? or a series 63

deville convertible

Phil, Here are a couple of pictures of my 64 CDV with the door panels installed. These will be the same door panel as your 64-6267 DeVille Convertible. Only difference between the door is your side glass and vent window glass and frame are shorter...panels are the same. Note that I have power vent windows, so you would  have the grooved stud with crank handle in top front painted metal plate if you have manual vent windows.  Click image then click "View Full Size" to enlarge:

Do not forget to put a liner between the panel and door. I only know about 61-62 Cadillac doors but if they are the same the door liner goes into a long slot at bottom of door. The water will run down the liner and be funneled back inside the door and out the weep holes in bottom of door. It keep the door panel dry. If not you will have wrapped door panels.
This is how I did my car. See the rain drops. This is what happen when it rains. My car was all together except for the inside door panel.

It is a strong oil type paper. I have never sourced any and use the thick mil plastic as Dave did. Seems to keep the water off the door panel and out of the car which is it's purpose.

Joining in on the door panel water shield paper.  I have not ordered any but plan to try it RUBBER THE RIGHT WAY has a product listed for that purpose in their catalog.

Gene, Maybe you can post a picture once you get it tacked up to the door. thanks, Jason.

Jason, Maybe in a year or two.  LOL

Thank you everyone for the info. I will post pics when completed
Can someone please post a photo of the Interor door without the door panel. Just the naked steel inside door. I want to see if the 63-64 door has a long slot for water barrier to slip in to.

Here ya go...  CLICK PICTURE TO ENLARGE.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
