Sweet ! keep us posted
In addition to driving Rt. 66, we met up with the N Texas, New Mexico, and Colo. regions of the CLC for their Cadillac Ranch Inter-Regional meet. We made it to Amarillo Fri. afternoon. This was a very well organized, well run event with lots of things planned. Toured the Cadillac Ranch, ate at the Big Texan steakhouse, toured a couple classic car places, and drove down Palo Duro Canyon where we watched the play Texas. We caravanned to all these places with a '41 Fleetwood leading the way. There was one other '63 - Deville convertible from the Denver area. My thanks to Rubye Musser, Nick Manol and all the CLC members for making us feel welcome.
Ol Blue clicked off the miles at 65-70 with no problems. After the meet we decided to head further west on Rt 66. Man, there's not a lot out there in the Texas Panhandle and New Mexico. We drove Interstate at most for about 40 minutes, all 2 lanes the rest of the way.
There were some pretty neat places like the U Drop Inn in Shamrock Tx. A beautifully restored vintage gas station, café and gift shop.
We continued west to Tucumcari New Mexico and I decided Ol Blue didn't need to go any further west. We left Rt 66 and headed up Hwy 54 across a lot of flat nothing in NM, Tx., Ok. to Liberal Ks.
Made it back to Rossvile Ks Monday evening. 1497 miles. Great trip, great people, lots of fun

My mechanic has sourced a choke housing and new internals. As you might expect, the choke tube is damaged and or clogged. My options are to either replace the choke tube, or my mechanic recommends…Continue

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
