Our Next Newsletter feature - Bob Schles' 1964 Fleetwood Eldorado

Our next 1963/64 Cadillac Chapter Newsletter will feature Bob Schles' 1964 Fleetwood Eldorado and includes a story that takes us through his "nine-month engine rebuilding adventure". Here is an interesting preview of car and owner with Bob in the engine bay posing with his forward lamp harness in hand. Look for this feature story and our next newsletter by Mid-November.

Always great to see '64 Eldos profiled.

I know of one in SoCal that I don't think you've covered..hint....hint.

I have a 100% open door policy regarding featuring 1963/64 Cadillac Chapter Member cars! I have Bob's car to feature but after that nothing, zilch, nada. I am begging members to submit their car for a cover feature story. All I need is a write-up and a few decent pictures. Write-up can be on any angle on the car, from history of the car to a restoration project like Bob's, or just some nice pictures and general info about the car. When you are ready to submit send to my email at jasonedge64@outlook.com.

I also don't care which body style whether you have a 6 window Series 62 sedan beater or an Eldo show queen.  My goals is to feature all members cars but with 377 current members I'm guessing we have about 350 to go!!!!

I have just about completed inserting Bob Schles excellent article and many pictures in our next newsletter which will feature his 1964 Eldorado and 9-month engine rebuild, and thought I would give a sample of pictures that made me smile - the before and after pictures of his transmission. Here is an example of a 60 year old transmission that was looking pretty rough with the crud and grease restored to like new.

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 13 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
