Hi Everyone:

The interior trim covering for my B Pillars is missing in my 64 Fleetwood, and I am wondering what the piece(s) looks like so I can recreate it.

I found this photo online (not a Fleetwood) - It looks like there is carpet on the bottom, and then maybe matching leather (?) above that. Is there a cardboard backer that ties it all together or are they separately attached? Also, does it vary based on model?

There is no cardboard on the back... it is just a piece of carpet on the bottom sewn to a piece of vinyl/leather at the top, and glued to the metal inside B-pillar with what looks like that 3M spray adhesive. From memory there is not difference between 4 and 6 window sedans or the Fleetwood. What is different is color. I generally always save these from the parts cars and may have what you need in decent condition. I would need the trim code off you body plate to give me the color you need? You can email mail me offline at jasonedge64@outlook.com

I sent MIke an email this morning with pictures but thought I would share here showing the front and back of these. I was able to locate several colors in my stash but not the sandalwood with the cut pile that he needs. The only difference between these across the sedans, other than color, is going to be the carpet.  The 1964 Series 62 sedans used a loop pile while the deVilles and Fleetwoods used a cut pile.  After digging around I did find a set in sandalwood but with the loop pile from a Series 62.  So, I got close but no cigar... so far.

Here is a picture showing front and back of these from a 1964 Fleetwood with light blue interior:

and here is a sample of some of the colors I have on hand. I do have more included in complete box sets but could not find Sandalwood ... so if any one by odd chance has this in nice condition with cut pile carpet in sandalwood contact Mike.

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
