Color Wiring Diagram - 1963 Series 62 Convertible, AC, AM/FM. Power WIndows, Power Seats

I've been working on a wiring diagram for my '63 Series 62 Convertible. I've merged diagrams from a bunch of sources including postings here and the Shop Manual. I also gained  info just by looking at my car. The diagram includes wires in generally correct colors, color and wire gauge (when I could find it) labels, connectors, and original bulb numbers.

It is useful to me, and I suspect others might find it useful too, so here it is. It prints best on 11 by 17 paper, but it is generally usable on letter size paper too.

This version does not incorporate the Autronic Eye, but I will add that sometime and post an update.

If you see any errors or have any suggestions, please let me know and I'll make an update.

I am not sure if this site reduces the resolution of images, but just in case, you can find the full-size high resolution image of the diagram here:

The link above will also always have the most updated version of the diagram.

p.s. I know I could have just bought the color diagram, but putting this together gave me a diagram (mostly) specific to my car, and it helped me see how everything is connected.

Looks great. Just click on the image to enlarge. I saved the pic to out Wiring Schematics Help Page. Thanks for sharing!

would this be close to a 2 door hardtop? all but a few extra wires for the top?  Or does anyone have one for a series 62 64

Karl, that is an awesome schematic. I bought the shop manual and scanned the schematic into a PDF file and am using a PDF program to color it, but it only has limited colors. What program did you use to create your schematic?

A few questions on the resistor wire, what color is it in the pic? The yellow/blue or black? And connecting to the ACC on the fuse box seems easiest way to go with the new switched wire, but where…Continue

Who rebuilds original AC  accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year ,  There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A    What  is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks

'63 Eldorado trumpet horn + 2 standard horns restoration

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.

There is a restoration service called The Horn Works who my son…

Spark Plug Heat Range

I found a diagram that illustrates the main factor in determining a spark plug heat range that I was trying to describe to you during the chapter get together.

Here it is:

The main factor is the length of the ceramic insulator from the middle of the spark plug to the tip (where the spark happens)

The insulator…
