Wiper Blades for a '63?

Is there anything special about the wiper blades I should use on my '63 Series 62 convertible? I have the original arms with the original blade brackets. I got Anco N-18R blades that should fit. I installed them on the arms. but they seemed loose, so I took apart the old blades and moved the rubber from the Anco blade to the metal spine in the prior blade. It's still not great. Given there don't seem to be any prior threads on this topic I suspect I am making tis wiper blade replacement harder…See More

Bad Guage?

Posted on August 26, 2020 at 3:08pm 6 Comments

So I am troubleshooting my fuel gauge issue. I bought a new sender and tested it. It  it goes from 1-ohm (empty) to 35-ohm (full). When I test it (outside the tank), when the float is in the up (full) position it only moves the gauge to about 1/2 full. When at the bottom (empty) position the gauge shows empty. This is the same issue I have when I fill and then use the gas in the tank - the gauge never reads ore than half full. Based on what I've read on this thread it would seem like the…

Torque converter grab when idling in Drive

Posted by Cliff Johnston on June 14, 2021 at 8:47pm 2 Comments

Hi Everyone, been quite a while since i have been on here.

I have had an issue with the idle on my 64 Coupe Deville ever since i have had it.

With the Idle set high enough that it is smooth, but still a nice idle, the RPM seems only slightly too high for the stall of the Torque Converter. And therefore it tends to sit there and grab and lunge a bit. So until now, i have been putting the car in Neutral at the lights to stop this happening.

I've had the car dyno tuned and…
