Removing Wiper Motor

I have a 1963 Model 62 convertible. I am trying to remove my wiper motor to replace its relay that is sticking. I got the shroud top ventilator frame off using the directions in the Shop Manual (note 16-6), but I can't figure out how to detach the wiper transmission from the motor. I had my '63 Series 62 convertible in for some other work and they noted the coolant was low and the driver's side of the engine was running hotter than the passenger's side. HELP! I've got a 1963 Series 62 convertible with about 140,000 miles on it. I developed a trans leak . I took it to the shop I use that specializes in classic cars, but they are less familiar with this transmission. They indicate it is relatively rare (few cars, few years). Bad Guage?

So I am troubleshooting my fuel gauge issue. I bought a new sender and tested it. It it goes from 1-ohm (empty) to 35-ohm (full). When I test it (outside the tank), when the float is in the up (full) position it only moves the gauge to about 1/2 full. When at the bottom (empty) position the gauge shows empty. This is the same issue I have when I fill and then use the gas in the tank - the gauge never reads ore than half full. Based on what I've read on this thread it would seem like the…

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
