I had a top motor issue due the resevoir being topped up by an upholstery guy with a fluid that was not compatible with the fluid already in the pump.  The mixed fluid turned to foam after one going up once and could not lift the top back up.  I removed the pump.   How do I clean out the old fluid in the rubber hoses going to either side of the pomp?  They seem to be mostly empty now but don't want to have nay more foaming issues.  WHAT IS THE IDEAL HYDRAULIC FLUID TO USE IN THE MOTOR?  The foaming started after Dot 3 was added to the half filled reservoir  I see CHF 11S on the Advance Auto site.  I also see Pentofluid EHF online as being for Top Motors.  What might you recommend?  John at juancull@aol.com

Looks like it would be either brake fluid or transmission fluid. Based on what you reported, you probably had transmission fluid originally but I'm no expert on this topic.

My reservoir is a little low. Any recommendations on my purchase of refill fluid? There are likely new fluids and I’d like to buy the right product. Thanks. Continue

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
