I have a perfect circle cruise control. My speedometer is not working. It turns going into the "Perfect circle" but not out. When I fiddle with it, the speedo works for a short time. The cables (from tranny and to dash) seem to seat correctly. Any idea how to fix this?
Also, does anybody know where to send these out for rebuild?
Thanks

Nope, I graduated HS in 1979 and this was my HS car. I have noticed your posts for years, I am in San Diego and the car is very good, but I think yours may be better. Mine is a driver
No, but thank you for drawing my attention to that section. The car was just a car back in the day. It was not worth much. Over the years when things wore out or broke, I just replaced them. I have changed my mind over time, the car has become much more valuable and I have started repair/replace with original or restored parts now. I have been studying the thing for a whole day and I think the issue is the spring nuts on the cable drives, either the wheel cable, or the speedo head cable are not tight, the gears drop out of position, lock up and the speedo reads dead.
What I would really like is to have it rebuild and swap the thing out. I probably can repair it, but a total rebuild would be nice. I am also getting older and I don't really want to spend the time, or get under the car of get dirty any more.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
