We had our monthly 1963/64 Cadillac Zoom meet-up tonight from 8 to 9:30pm with a very lively discussion with about a dozen members and I have yet to have dinner so we will make this ramble brief.

Today I jumped on the current parts car removing all of the front end stuff including front wheel assemblies, along with the upper and lower control arms, steering gear, and the the steering linkage including pitman arm, center link and idler arm, coil springs, tie struts, stabilizer bar and the brake lines and brackets.   Basically removing everything that will unbolt at the front as seen in picture below. I still have to chase down and remove the brake line and gas line feeds to rear. If they are in bad condition I will will let them go, but will almost always still use the bolts and clamp.  Once this is done the front gets lowered to the car hauler bed and the rear goes up on jack stands to remove the rear end, control links, upper control arm, etc, then off to to the metal yard!

Hi Jason,

Just checking to see if a r-hand upper eyebrow  for a 64 Deville Convertible has come in.

Enjoyed the zoom meeting.

Thanks,

Richard (vinny)

Hi Richard, I have pulled in 5 1963's in a row but hope to pull more 64's in by end of year or first of next year but it is always a roll of the dice which year I will bring in and the condition on parts. I will make a note on the Wait List entry that you are still looking as of today.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
