Hey Mark. That is a slick 64! Remind me what engine you went with under the hood? Jason.
Thanks Jason

The only chevy engine that looks like the one in your Cadillac is the 6.6 L8T v8 from a Silverado
Enjoy
Debuting in 2013,the LT engine family is large. The power plant in my 64 is a L86 6.2 out of a 2019 silverado the L8T 6.6 was introduced in 2020......

Thank you very much for the info and clarification
Just the result of my serious interest in your great 64 Cadillac-Just Love it !
A very distinctive intake manifold for identification
Some day this might be the route we all must go as the stock 64 engines will no longer be available due to them being a one year only plug and play 429 engine and basically worn out (some changes in the newer 429 engine design due to the frame change in 65 )
A great alternative way to go but it is not easy for me to understand ( or anyone else to understand ) with all the different variations in the Chevy engine line up
Your solution is surely the way to keep our 64 ‘s in fine form in the future
Like the direction you took and are sharing with the community
Love to know how all the creature comforts of the 64 work off your current engine
Any additional info you would choose to offer would be greatly appreciated as only a few have made a major change to a completely different engine swap
Love for you to do a complete write up on what was involved in making the change over
Sure Jason would do something very good with the info
Thanks again
Enjoy
Mark

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.
There is a restoration service called The Horn Works who my son…

Hi all,
I have a 63 series 62 convertible.
Thought it would be a good idea to make the fin lights flash as well as tail/stop lights.
They did this in 64 i believe.
i replaced single filiment bulb holder in fin lamp, to a twin filiment.
ran a wire from the tail/stop lights to this extra filiment in the fin light.
its the pink wire on the color diagram i have. purple on passenger side.
Any how, yes it works and looks great, during the…
