The rear windows will not go down on my 64 DeVille convertible. Front windows work fine. Any suggestions on how to get them down.
Thanks Richard

Did you try from the individual window switches? From the master Driver Switch? With the lockout switch in the spring loaded far left Emergency Position?
Can you provide any details on how or when they stopped working? If they have worked did they work form individual switches and/or the master switch?
Thanks for the quick reply. This is a great forum. They were stuck up when I bought the car. I will try the Emergency position and let you know.
Thanks Richard
I am assuming then you tried from both the master switch and the individual window switches. Make sure ignition is on. With the Lock Out switch it doesn't matter. Ignition can be off. Basically bypasses the relay. It is easier to diagnose with a full picture of how things are working or not working before you just start diving into the rubber conduit between the driver door and the body of car... although breaks in the wires in this area is a common problem area. The fact your right front passenger window works (assuming from master switch and individual switch) makes you wonder if it could indeed be isolated issues at the rear qtr windows or isolated to feed wires in that rubber conduit. Again, it would be helpful to know the full details before jumping into anything. It is also easy enough to just pop the ash tray/lighter/switch receivers up in the back and make sure they have good contacts before tacking the driver door conduit.
I will go slow and try your recommendations.
Thanks for the help, Richard
Thanks for the quick reply. I will look into the wire harness in the door.
Thanks Richard
Did you get his figured out ?
My rear windows on the 64 won't run either.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
