I read very sad news posted by Tim Coy on the CLC Facebook page last night:
"The Self-Starter’s “Washburn’s Wisdom” columnist John Washburn lost his battle last night with health issues. He will be missed terribly in the CLC family."
As I noted in the comments, this is such very sad news. He contributed so much to the club, and was always unselfishly available to take questions or help resolve problems. I admired his tenacity in presenting detailed information in his articles and had my respect from the very first time I ever read one of his articles. I corresponded with him regarding a recent article just a few weeks ago ... I really had no idea he was in bad health. Just so sad.
I will add that his column was worth the price of admission to the club alone! I always looked forward to his articles in each Self-Starter and often just turned straight to his next story. Look to our Help Page and you will see several of his Self-Starter articles referenced. He had a great way of explaining sometimes technical & detailed subjects, coupled with lots of pictures and definitely followed the 4 C's - Clear, Concise, Complete, Correct. He will be greatly missed!

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
